Nellore News



Nellore officially called as Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district is one of the 9 districts in Coastal Andhra of Andhra Pradesh. The Name Nellore is derived from a story of Lingam(stone) that forms under Nelli tree and the people gradually called as Nellore. The district head quarters are located in Nellore itself. The boundaries of Nellore are Kadapa district to West, Bay of Bengal to East, Thiruvallur and Chittoor districts to South, Prakasam district to North. Divisions

There are Five Revenue divisions in Nellore namely Kavali, Nellore, Atmakur, Gudur and Naidupet. Each divison is divided into mandals. Kurnool News



Kurnool is derived from Kandanavolu whcih is one of the 4 districts in Rayalaseema of Andhra Pradesh. At the time of October 1 1953 to October 31 1956, Kurnool is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The district Head quarters are located in Kurnool itself. The boundaries of Kurnool are Prakasam district to East, Bellary district of Karnataka state to West, Mahabubnagar district to north, Anantapur district to South, Raichur district of Karnataka to North-west, Kadapa district to South-east. Krishna News



Krishna is one of the districts in Coastal Andhra, which is most developed district in Andhra Pradesh. Krishna district was formed on 1859 from Rajahmundry, Later in 1904 Guntur is seperated from Krishna and in 1925 the district is again divided into West Godavari and Krishna districts . The district initially called as Machilipatnam district as its head quarters are located in Machilipatnam. after it was renamed as Krishna district as the Krishna river flows through the Andhra Pradesh state. The Boundaries of Krishna are Bay of Bengal to South, West Godavari district to East, Guntur and Nalgonda districts to West, and Khammam district to North.
